About the role
The Projects & Reporting Officer is responsible for supporting project management, program review and delivery across Fisheries Research. The role contributes to business planning and financial management to help achieve the program outcomes outlined in the DPIRD Fisheries & Forestry Strategic Plan.
We are looking for an individual who can:

Support budgeting cycles and project planning processes, including development and monitoring of plans, audits and reports to ensure compliance with project management frameworks.

Assist in the transparent administration of Fisheries Trusts and associated projects, ensuring probity, efficient resource use and compliance with reporting obligations.

Undertake analysis and investigation activities to support compliance with funding criteria and program reporting requirements.

Contribute to financial management, including reconciliations, expenditure tracking and budget reporting to support program oversight.

Work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve reporting, audit and system issues and improve business processes.

Contribute to continuous improvement of project management methodologies and processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have the following:

Experience supporting project management, financial processes and reporting in a complex environment

Strong analytical capability, with attention to detail in financial and program reporting

Ability to work within governance, compliance and audit frameworks
-
Effective stakeholder engagement skills, working collaboratively across teams and with external partners
-
Ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing demands in a high-volume environment
