  • Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour
  • Clerk Grade 9/10 – Salary from $133,348 up to $146,945 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading

About the Role
As Manager Authorisations and Audit, you will lead a specialist team responsible for plantation approvals, audits, inspections and responses to non-compliance across NSW. You will help ensure plantation operations meet legislative requirements, support fair and consistent regulatory practice, and provide practical advice to industry, government and internal stakeholders. The role also contributes to policy development, systems improvement, project delivery and briefings that support sound decision-making and sustainable forestry outcomes.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • You have experience in forestry, natural resource management, regulation or audit.
  • You understand legislation, compliance and risk-based regulatory practice.
  • You lead teams with clarity, integrity and a focus on safe, quality outcomes.
  • You build productive relationships with industry, government and community stakeholders.
  • You can analyse issues, prepare sound advice and support practical decisions.
  • You manage competing priorities and deliver projects, systems and improvements.
  • You hold relevant qualifications and can travel occasionally for fieldwork, including overnight stays.
