About the Role
As a member of the Office of the Deputy Secretary, the Client Liaison Officer:
- provides quality support services to the Deputy Secretary, Keeping Children Safe Executive and Manager – Office of the Secretary to deal with contemporary and contentious issues.
- provides high quality, friendly and responsive liaison services to the range of statutory offices and other internal and external stakeholders that engage with the Division.
- responds to complaints and issues that are raised with the Office of the Secretary by clients and/or their families or significant others.
The successful applicant will enjoy working independently, be organised, self-motivated and have exceptional communication skills.

Essential Requirements
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
- The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
1 Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) crimes of violence
b) sex related offences
c) serious drug offences
d) crimes involving dishonesty
e) serious traffic offences
2 Identification check
3 Disciplinary actions in previous employment check
