About the role

The role of this Physiotherapist in Rehabilitation - Level 1 / 2 will be to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Physiotherapy service is provided to patients of the hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers.

This full-time fixed-term contract position is from Oct 2025 to Jan 2026, with extension likely to Dec 2026, and works within the philosophy and core values of our company to ensure that the service is tailored to the needs of the individual clients and delivered in a style that aims to maximise their satisfaction.


About you

  • A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • Significant practical experience or Extensive Knowledge in providing Physiotherapy Services in a Rehabilitation, Aged Care or Palliative Care setting.  Experience across inpatient and outpatient/ community settings would be desirable.
  • A current drivers licence and safe driving record.
  • Willingness to travel between HammondCare’s sites and services.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a  multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy and patience.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment
  • An understanding of Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
