We are now looking for a paralegal or legal counsel to join our in-house legal team. If you're highly organised, enjoy variety, and want to be close to the operations of a leading national discount variety retailer, this could be the opportunity for you.

What you will do

Reporting to the Corporate Counsel, you will provide legal and administrative support across property, customer claims, supplier agreements, and compliance. This is a hands-on, broad role for someone who enjoys managing stakeholder relationships, and delivering high-quality legal work with a commercial focus.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating leasing documents (agreements, renewals, options, closures)
• Liaising with landlords, property managers, and external legal providers
• Supporting public liability claims management including coordinating incident reports and CCTV retrieval
• Managing routine legal matters and correspondence
• Supporting supplier agreement onboarding and reviewing contracts via Checkbox
• Contributing to legal and compliance initiatives across the business

What you will bring

• Minimum two years’ experience in a paralegal, legal assistant, or junior legal counsel role (in-house or private practice)
• Experience in property, leasing, or retail law is highly desirable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts in practical terms
• Exceptional organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence dealing with internal stakeholders and external legal providers
• A collaborative mindset, initiative, and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and comfort with legal systems or platforms (Checkbox experience a bonus)
