About the Role 

Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) is seeking a dedicated and professional School Fees Officer to join the Finance & Facilities team. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the School Fees Officer will be responsible for managing school debtor accounts and supporting the collection of school fees in alignment with CEDB policies. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Act as the main contact for school fee queries and debt collection processes. 
  • Liaise with parents/carers to arrange, monitor, and enforce payment plans. 
  • Escalate complex fee issues to the Fees Liaison Officer as needed. 
  • Maintain accurate debtor records and reports using internal procurement system. 
  • Prepare and send correspondence related to fee collection. 
  • Support the Finance team with general tasks and undertake travel when required. 
  • Promote and model the Vision, Mission, and Christian values of Catholic Education.

About You 

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria: 

  • Demonstrated experience in financial administration, debt collection, or similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Competence in financial software systems (Tech One or similar) 
  • Previous experience working in a school or education setting (desired) 
  • Certificate or diploma in finance, business administration, or related field (desired but not essential)
