Join Sunwater as a Senior Systems Control Engineer where you’ll play a pivotal role in providing advanced technical advice and recommendations across Sunwater related to SCADA security and backup processes, SCADA operations, technical support and design. Furthermore, this role will develop and maintain documentation of operational technology assets to support water delivery operations for Sunwater.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining risk and condition-based inspection and condition monitoring programs for control systems.
  • Providing advanced technical operational advice and support for control systems renewal projects other assigned projects and Input into proposal and tender submissions
  • Providing advanced technical advice and operational support to the business to restore faults, capacity or condition or rectify other problems.
  • Partnering with stakeholders ensuring alignment between OT and IT security strategies
  • Ensure all OT systems comply with relevant legislation and standards, including the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act, ISO 27001, and ASCS Essential 8.

Sunwater are seeking an experienced individual with strong experience in a variety of PLCs, RTUs, communications networks and SCADA platforms. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent with demonstrated experience in a similar role.

You will also bring:

  • SCADA skills: Experience providing advanced technical advice and recommendations across Sunwater related to SCADA security and backup processes, SCADA operations, technical support and design including input into planning and inspection services across assets.  
  • Analytical expertise: Problem solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and provide fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Communication skills: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
