• Under the direction of the Chief Auditor, the Audit Supervisor is responsible for supervising one auditor performing Average Daily Membership audits at school districts and charter schools and other audits as assigned. Public school districts and charter schools receive Basic State Aid passed through to them from the Arizona Department of Education. The Average Daily Membership audits search for fraud, waste, and abuse in the expenditure of these dollars. • The Audit Supervisor supervises the day-to-day audit process for each assigned audit according to established audit principles, theories, concepts, and practices and supervises one auditor assigned to an audit. • Occasional in-state travel is required for this position. The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.
