Job Summary: |
The Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant.
This position is responsible for a variety of complex administrative tasks, including research, special projects, fiscal and operational reports, development and modification of office procedures and forms, coordination, operation planning, and report preparation.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
Job Duties: |
• Supports the Executive Director including drafting and preparing reports, calendar management, and special projects. Preparing for Board meetings, including the setup and preparation for Board Meetings
• Reviews, processes, and approves applications regarding Continuing Education Applications, Renewal Applications, and Chiropractic Assistant Registration Applications, including any and all correspondence related to the application
• Monitors, reconciles, and assists with project management for the Board, including, but not limited to, accounts payable and receivables, contracts, travel reimbursements, and other operational processes
• Supports the Investigative Team with correspondence and investigative report preparations, as well as drafting and posting the Board's agenda and meeting minutes
• Manages Board Office to include directing phone calls, processing and distributing mail, composing memos, ordering forms and office supplies
• Assists the Licensing Administrator with processing applications, offering support to the administrative functions of the licensing department
• Oversees and performs a range of diverse administrative activities for the Board
• Records, tracks, and files monthly and quarterly project reports
• Attends meetings and generates meeting minutes

Knowledge:
• Management, administrative, and organizational principles, concepts, and techniques and their practical application
• Knowledge of various computer software, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Products
• Principles and practices of administration and management
• Regulations and operating procedures
• Project management procedures
Skills:
• Conducting research, special projects, planning, and report preparation
• Coordinating administrative matters between organizational units
Ability:
• Learn and interpret organization or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
• Analyze and solve problems
Pre-Employment Requirements: |
• Three years responsible administrative experience, or bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment from an accredited college or university and two years responsible administrative experience, or master's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment from an accredited college or university and one-year responsible administrative experience
• Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver license record checks, required to maintain acceptable driving records, and complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.11)
• Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment
