The purpose of the Board of Technical Registration is to protect the public by setting appropriate registration qualifications and enforcing state statutes relating to the practice of all Board-regulated professions and occupations.

Annual Salary Range: $35,000 - $42,000

Grade: 15

This position will remain open until filled  

Job Summary:

This position serves as the agency's first point of contact to the public. The CSR will answer telephone calls, emails, and speak with the public in person, answering questions and transferring calls appropriately.

This position is also responsible for daily distribution, monthly mailing of renewal reminders. The CSR will input money the agency receives from applications and penalty payments into the agency's computer system.

CSR will log all applications and payments to be processed by the licensing and renewals specialists. CSRs will update the computer system and issue renewal certificates for the Board's firm and branch registrants.

CSRs will mail and email firm certificates upon the processing of renewals and applications. CSRs process change of address requests, name change requests and deceased notices. CSRs are also responsible for scanning of documents received.

CSR will input all applications and fees the agency receives.

Job Duties:

• Accurate data entry of applications into the computer system; collecting fees for agency services and adding money receipts and reconciling cash against known figures for verification; issuing firm and branch certificates and mailing monthly license renewal reminders. Processing change of address requests, name change requests and deceased notices. Scanning documents received through the mail and email. Input all applications and fees the agency receives

• Public interaction in person, via phone and email. Answering questions or transferring/referring questions to corresponding staff members

• Other clerical duties as necessary such as assisting the licensing or operations staff as workloads dictate

• Good knowledge of the agency's operating rules/policies & differences between the units

Selective Preference(s):

• Background working in an office environment with experience answering phones and working within a database

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Driving Requirements:

• Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)

• Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment
