Job Summary:

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office State Government Division/Employment Law Section is seeking an Administrative Assistant I.
Remote Options: This position may be eligible for Remote Work two days a week.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Perform administrative support tasks for staff and attorneys in the Employment Law Section. Duties include scanning, copying and filing of correspondence, pleadings, and other documents; receiving and distributing incoming/outgoing US mail, E-mails, Minute Entries, and faxes; data entry in case management system; downloading electronic documents into case management system; closing and archiving case files; drafting correspondence; assist with maintaining inventory of office and copy supplies; provide back-up to other administrative assistants in the section; and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of administrative support procedures, techniques and equipment.
Knowledge of word processing and other software applications.
Knowledge of the attorney/client relationship, including the need for confidentiality and discretion.
Knowledge of the practice of law and the need to ensure work coverage or completion.
Skill in performing complex, routine and non-routine administrative duties.
Skill in effective oral and written communication.
Skill in grammar, punctuation, spelling and basic editing.
Skill in dealing with details and confidential information.
Skill in interpersonal relations and effectively dealing with others.
Ability to work independently and utilize sound judgment.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to follow procedures in a law office environment.
Ability to proficiently use a personal computer, printer, copier, scanner, fax machine, etc.
Ability to get along and work well with others.
Ability to handle a high volume of work and stressful situations.

Selective Preference(s):

Two years of experience as an Administrative Assistant.
