The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an ambitious professional who performs exceptional customer service and acts as the Primary Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) Coordinator and Arizona Correctional Information System (ACIS) Coordinator.
This position also completes background clearance on all visitors including inmate visitors, vendors, contracted employees, volunteers, special tours, and specified inmates at the Arizona State Prison Complex - Safford.

Job Duties: |
- Completes background clearances on all visitors, including inmate visitors, vendors, contracted employees, volunteers, special tours, and specified inmates
- Maintains logs manually and electronically and ensures confidentiality of all information
- Organizes and files confidential documents and records
- Processes warrant checks and sends teletypes to outside criminal justice agencies
- Performs related administrative tasks and completes special projects/assignments and reports as requested by a supervisor
- Attends meetings and required training
- Sets up and maintains all user accounts
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
Knowledge of:
- Basic Administrative practices
- General office practices and procedures
- Spelling, grammar usage, and filing systems
- Proper telephone etiquette, dealing with staff, inmates and public
- Personal computers, word processing and spreadsheet software
- ADCRR policies and procedures
Skill in:
- Operation of general office equipment
- Data entry
- Preparing and formatting difficult and complex reports, letters and writing correspondence

- Obtain and maintain ACJIS Certification

Selective Preference(s): |
- Must obtain ACJIS Certification within three (3) months of appointment
- Two (2) – three (3) years of experience providing administrative support to a manager/administrator
- Prefer advanced computer skills using Google Suite
Pre-Employment Requirements: |
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
