ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Individual positions may be responsible for some or all of the listed duties and/or related duties
Perform general maintenance/repair work on, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, structural, painting, and HVAC
Maintain inventory system of work orders, preventative maintenance, and repairs
Perform periodic standard inspection on tools and equipment ensuring safety and compliance
Assist the Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician with instillation and repair of HVAC equipment
Identify and apprise supervisor of possible repairs to be made to property, equipment, or grounds
Continue professional growth through coursework and training sessions

KNOWLEDGE OF:
Policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit
Principles and practices of administration and management
Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
Federal and State building laws, regulations, codes, and requirements
General instillation, repair, and preventative maintenance of all facilities equipment
Construction/safety practices and methods


SKILLED IN:
General equipment maintenance and repair
Operation monitoring
Judgement and decision making


ABILITY TO:
Communicate information and ideas effectively so that others will understand
Read blueprints
Troubleshoot
Weld, blaze, and solder


SPECIAL CONDITIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to pass FBI and state background check
Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel that drive on State business
Valid Arizona Driver’s License required during period of employment
Must pass post offer physical
Work related skill, knowledge, and experience in a maintenance department
ASL (American Sign Language) skills if working with students/staff who are deaf or hard of hearing
This position is identified as a Safety Sensitive position. Positions identified as Safety Sensitive are required to cooperate with pre-hire Drug testing and random drug testing requests thereafter.
