Job Summary:
The Financial and Employer Services Division of the Arizona State Retirement System is seeking an individual to fill the Employer Relations Employer Quality Analyst Team Lead position. This individual will serve as an expert resource on all retirement rules, policies and procedures for employers. They will train, coach and mentor the Employer Relations staff as well as create content for Employer Basics and the Employer Conference.
Job Duties:
Research and analyze employer data to comply with statutes, rules, and policies for the employer compliance program. Collaborate with employers to provide education on compliance issues. Identify employers who continue to have compliance issues and facilitate meetings to correct and train the employers.
Respond to employer secure messages (ESMs), emails, phone calls and chats with expert knowledge on ASRS statutes, rules and policies.
Provide training, coaching, mentoring and feedback to Employer Quality Analysts and Retirement Specialists in conjunction with and support from the supervisor.
Create content for Employer Basics and Employers Conferences. Develop and design presentations, instructional guides, and communication materials to provide ongoing communication and training programs for employers for in person, print, and virtual delivery.
Coordinate the application process for new employers seeking to join the ASRS, including providing overview of the Social Security Requirements, ASRS overview and processes, conducting initial and follow up meetings, obtaining legal determinations, and finalizing all systems to set up the employer for participation.
Serve as the primary liaison for the program area's TSD projects including UAT coordination and collaboration.
Provides assistance to other areas when business needs dictate, such as phone coverage for members.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
1 year of ASRS experience
Knowledge of federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, rules, and policies and procedures affecting the ASRS and defining membership, compensation, contributions, ACR, TIPS, Health Insurance Premium Benefits, and benefit eligibility
Retirement programs, including service purchase, retirement benefits, refund provisions, account maintenance, long-term disability and health insurance programs
Compliance program planning and design
Customer service techniques
Multiple software programs, such as Windows, Office Suite, relational databases, and presentation platforms
Strong written and oral communication skills
Advanced interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Analytical skills
Ability to identify problems and implement proper resolutions
Ability to review work and meet deadlines with accuracy
Ability to change focus quickly and redirect resources to address changing business needs
Skilled in maintaining positive work relationships
Selective Preference(s):
One year of problem solving experience both on the phone and in person using analytical/problem-solving skills preferably in a public pension system or government organization
One year of experience delivering presentations in front of a group
Three years of customer service experience
Prefer Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration or related field
