POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides primary support for Manager III, Senior Legislative Analyst VII, Senior Automation Specialist VII and staff of 12-15 staff in the areas of software application implementation, automation training, testing, legislation tracking, and production support. This position is responsible for maintaining files related to all AJACS courts, drafting letters, reviewing documentation for accuracy, updating website content, answering, and responding to calls, organizing, and coordinating electronic file versions, coordinating large group meetings, setting travel arrangements for staff, registering training/meeting participants.  The position also requires initiative, good judgment, independent work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop detailed knowledge of program and division responsibilities.

 

Additionally, this position will prepare, review and route purchase requisitions, travel claims, contracts and other forms for staff to comply with policies and procedures. Schedule and set up meetings and take minutes of proceedings, make travel arrangements, and provide support to other staff as needed.

 

After an initial period of at least three months in person, this position may offer the ability to work remotely up to two days per week, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED and have four years’ experience in an administrative or clerical work environment. Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS Office software, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Experience updating websites or web content, good interpersonal skills and attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communications skills. This position also requires the ability to provide highly responsible administrative and technical work performed independently with minimal supervision, work on multiple projects simultaneously, maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations, and work effectively with judges, court staff and the public.

 

Travel level: negligible

 

SELECTION PROCESS:
