Job Summary:

Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) models and algorithms under the guidance of senior team members.
Perform data preparation tasks including cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering to support model development.
Contribute to building dashboards, reports, and other data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
Support development tasks using Python and other scripting languages for exploratory data analysis and automation.
Work with cloud-based infrastructure (such as Microsoft Azure) and productivity tools to support project delivery.
Participate in code reviews, version control (GitHub), and documentation of project processes and outcomes.
Stay current with emerging tools and techniques in data science, AI, and automation, and apply them under supervision.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, test solutions, and ensure project success.
Provide assistance in preparing training materials and user documentation for implemented solutions.

This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).

This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (# days per week in the office/hoteling).
OR
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related IT field.
0–2 years of experience in software development, data analysis, or working with AI/ML tools (internship or academic projects acceptable).
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar scripting languages.
Exposure to .NET development (C#, ASP.NET, or .NET Core) or strong interest in learning .NET technologies.
Basic understanding of data preparation techniques (cleaning, transformation, feature engineering).
Experience with version control (e.g., GitHub, DevOps) and collaborative development practices.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure (Azure AI, ML Studio, or related services) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and adaptability to new technologies.
Effective communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Interest in developing skills in SQL, data visualization, and machine learning methods
Must have valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be a United States citizen or have proper work authorization
