COMPLIANCE SAFETY HEALTH OFFICER in PHOENIX
We are currently looking for an individual to join our Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) team, which is tasked with conducting scheduled visits and on-site training for employers throughout Arizona. By working with employers collaboratively, we build a relationship where questions can be asked without fear. The position is responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling and completing ADOSH consultation visits at the request of any employer within the Division’s jurisdiction. During the visit the Consultant will conduct a walk around inspection to gain knowledge of the hazards within the workplace and interview employees to determine the degree of management involvement with the hazards noted. The visit requires an opening conference, walk around, inspection and closing conference as would be part of the ADOSH compliance inspection. Lastly, review of employer’s safety and health programs and recommended upgrades according to the most recent OSHA standard.

The Environmental Program Specialist provides technical expert level assistance in the management of hazardous and other regulated waste at AZANG facilities, including managing removal of hazardous waste from AZANG facilities by contractors. This role involves conducting on-site inspections to determine compliance with applicable DoD, AF, ANG, EPA, and State of Arizona environmental laws and regulations, providing training to AZ ANG personnel in the handling of hazardous and other regulated wastes, performing waste stream characterization and determining waste profiles. The specialist will work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a high degree of independent decision-making with minimal supervision.
