      FEDERAL FISCAL MONITORING AUDITOR in PHOENIX

      • The position’s primary purpose is to perform fiscal monitoring of Local Education Agencies (LEAs)/subrecipients that receive federal or state grant funds from Arizona Department of Education (ADE). • The auditor will also be responsible for the review, tracking, and follow up of Single Audit files submitted to ADE by subrecipients conducted by CPAs. • Fiscal monitoring is conducted in accordance with the Uniform Grant Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) which require pass-through entities, such as ADE, to monitor the subrecipients’ use of federal funds. The fiscal monitoring auditor will determine whether selected expenditures were in accordance with federal and local regulations and statutes, under the supervision of the Grants Fiscal Supervisor. The auditor will also provide technical assistance to LEAs as necessary. • Occasional in-state travel may be required for this position. The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate. New hires are expected to work in the office full-time until leadership feels they are fully trained.
