ANALYST MANAGER - OCWI

Job Summary:

The Analyst Manager assigns and supervises the work of the Office of Child Welfare Investigations (OCWI) Investigative Analysts conducting detailed research and analysis of investigative information. In addition to supervising the team, the Analyst Manager functions as a subject matter expect for OCWI on matters related to A/CJIS and NCIC functions, policy and law. In this capacity, the Analyst Manager functions as Departments (DCS/OCWI) System Security Officer or Assistant System Security Officer.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:
  • Provides direction & supervision of the OCWI Investigative Analysts to ensure quality, accuracy and thoroughness of investigative analysis, research, training, and assessments.
  • Function as security officer for agency specific sources as well as the Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS), System Security Officer. Ensure proper access, use and dissemination of confidential information. Maintain staff compliance via training and audits.
  • Attend inter-agency meetings as a representative of the analytical unit for the purpose of education, information sharing, MOUs, and for the clarification of roles and responsibilities of OCWI analysts.
  • Database and SharePoint development for qualitative and quantitative analysis and task tracking and task outcomes (e.g. Kanbans and Huddle Charts).
  • Keep abreast of new developments, technology, and training in the intelligence/investigative analyst community.

Selective Preference(s):
  • Selected candidate must possess: A minimum of (2) years experience as a law enforcement analyst or OCWI Investigative Analyst.
  • A minimum of (2) years (sixty credit-hour) post high school education.
  • Preferred experience: (6) months, or more, as an OCWI Analyst Assistant Manager.
Pre-Employment Requirements:

In-state travel is required.

The ability to secure and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and the ability to secure and maintain clearance from the DCS Central Registry.

The ability to secure and maintain level B terminal operator certification for A/CJIS from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
