What You'll Do:
Supervise the staff by defining and establishing schedules, setting priorities, providing support/direction and dealing with
administrative issues as needed. Trains staff on operational procedures and troubleshooting techniques. Leads/coordinates cross-team
testing efforts. Coaches team members on performance, completes employee performance evaluations and recommends pay actions.
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance, and oversight from manager.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monitor employee progress and make adjustments in resourcing to ensure employee productivity and strengthen job satisfaction. Includes initiating test planning activities, delegating assignments and deliverables, balance testers workload, setting priorities, negotiating test deliverable dates with other leaders and provide management support across departments.
Develop and mentor testing staff assigned to the department including establishing training plans, career paths and goals. Conduct performance reviews as required. Review and update direct staff's position descriptions as needed.
Initiate / implement new department standards as needed and ensure that all work in the department is performed according to established policy and procedures. Contribute to development/improvement of current internal processes.
Lead/Coordinate cross-team testing efforts.
Attend various meetings, classes, seminars and demonstrations to lead testers in development of standard work testing techniques, best practices and adoption of Agency and state standards (Arizona Management System).
Prepare management and status reports including Progress and Quality test metrics for assigned team projects. Monitor and report progress against test plans and project plans and raise risks/problems and work to resolve.

Qualifications: |
Minimum:
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 or more years of experience in related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Preferred:
• 2 years experience as a Lead or Supervisor. Any IT QA related certifications (CAST/CSTE/CMST/etc.)
