Job Summary: |
The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking motivated individuals for our Telecommunications Supply Specialist position. Under general supervision, is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and accounting for the inventory of telecommunications system parts, equipment, and supply purchases to ensure proper stocking levels for the Wireless Systems Bureau's repair and maintenance plan. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a competitive classification.
Minimum Qualifications: |
Requires three (3) years of telecommunications systems and component-related experience, including the use of a computerized telecommunications parts inventory and maintenance tracking system. Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required to work and drive in inclement weather.
May be required to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
May be required to bend, stretch, stoop, reach, and climb.
May be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
May be required to lift and move heavy, bulky items, equipment, supplies, and materials weighing up to 85 pounds.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required to travel to perform certain work functions.
Progression to the next pay level/step requires an overall performance rating of at least "Standard" in the last 12 months.
