Job Summary: |
The Labor Department is responsible for the statewide enforcement of the Wage Claim, Youth Employment, Minimum Wage, Earned Paid Sick Time, Retaliation and Payment Compliance programs. The Investigation Unit is responsible for investigating, identifying, and recommending action with regards to claims and complaints filed by the public.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties: |
This position is responsible for supervising, administering, and performing day to day tasks integral to the operations of the ICA Labor Division's Investigation Unit.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
Knowledge in:
● Procedures and techniques of managing and supervising an investigation unit responsible for conducting specialized and highly complex administrative investigations.
● Arizona administrative practices and procedures and personnel rules and requirements is preferred.
● Wage claim, minimum wage, earned paid sick time, retaliation, payment compliance and youth labor statutes, rules and investigation processes as well as the provisions of federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
● ICA and Labor Department's purpose, goals, policies, procedures, and practices, is preferred.
● Sources for information and evidence relevant to specialized and complex labor related enforcement issues.
● Microsoft office and Google programs.

Selective Preference(s): |
The ideal candidate will have investigative and caseload management skills, knowledge of Labor Department programs and the FLSA, as well as prior supervisory experience.
Pre-Employment Requirements: |
Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements.
