As a Project Manager, you support both programmatic and business functions of the Arizona Refugee Resettlement Program (RRP). The project manager will run and support a wide variety of functions to ensure efficiency, execute action plans, reduce risk, and improve compliance. You will plan and direct activities of multi-faceted projects of limited duration and evaluate progress and resolve difficulties, including those crossing departmental lines. Provide project leadership and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties: |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Assist leadership with the development and implementation of project action plans in order to
meet Annual Improvement Priorities.
● Develop recommendations for the program's continuous quality improvements and assist with the implementation.
● Research and write program-related summaries and reports for special projects (i.e., legislative proposals, administrative rules, annual program reports, recommendations for program improvement, and grant reports). Review, revise, and coordinate the implementation of forms and related information for the program.
● Partner with quality and compliance functions to review findings of performance audits, and design controls to mitigate findings and reduce operational risk.

Knowledge of:
● Applicable federal and state statutes, administrative and personnel rules and regulations, and DAAS programs policies and procedures.
● Practices and principles of policy and procedural development
● Project management concepts
● Social work and best practices and principles
Skills in:
● Oral and written communication
● Data analysis, evaluation, and interpretation
● Developing and writing program-related reports such as policies and procedures, program summaries, and grant reports.
● Interpreting and applying complex federal and state laws and regulations to the program.
Ability to:
● Write clear, concise, and accurate reports
● Manage time and handle multiple, time-sensitive projects
● Take data or information and analyze, evaluate, interpret, and implement solutions to increase the efficacy and efficiency of programs
● Establish and maintain effective working relationships with leadership, division management and internal and external stakeholders
Selective Preference(s): |
This ideal candidate for this position will have:
● Prefer bachelor’s degree in communications, business or public administration, or related field and 2 years of exp researching, writing a variety of documents (e.g., reports, policies, procedures, program summaries, annual reports, etc.) or coordinating multiple projects/tasks in social services programs, human services field, communications, or business; OR
● 4 years’ experience as noted above.

• This position may require driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business; then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

Retirement: |
State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period.
