Job Summary: |
This position is responsible for developing, evaluating, and refining educational programs and providing technical provider trainings with oversight from the DFSM Training Manager. This position collaborates with subject matter experts to create engaging instructional materials.

Job Duties: |
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist Training Manager in the development of overall training resources for Fee for Service Providers (FFS) and the development of manuals and other training manuals.
• Under the direction of the Training Manager, conducts well established provider training related to submission of claims, prior authorizations, and documentation uploads using the AHCCCS provider platforms. Necessitates continuous learning and the ability to effectively communicate and troubleshoot throughout the training process.
• Ensures that training materials are coordinated and current in preparation for the training conducted by this position and that of the Training Manager.
• Develops and maintains tracking mechanisms, surveys and outcomes reporting for training conducted
• Travels to FFS providers in remote areas to conduct well established trainings.

Knowledge of:
• Pre-paid Medical Management Information System (PMMIS)
• Training strategies and methods
• Technical writing
• Federal and state laws and agency rules, regulations, policies and procedures
• Fundamentals of IHS/638 claims processing and billing
• Tracking mechanisms and outcomes reporting
• American Indian Tribes/programs and policy relative to Intergovernmental Agreements (IGAs) and other related policies
• Operations of Indian Health Service, tribal health departments and urban Indian clinics.

Selective Preference(s): |
Minimum: One year experience training adult learners as a full time trainer responsible for instruction and group/team facilitation.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Adult Education, Communication, Organization Development, Human Resources, Training and Development or similar field. Advanced computer based technology skills, and operational knowledge of PMMIS and the Fee For Service Program.
