The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Supervisor who oversees the daily operation of the HRIS Unit located at Central Office. This position participates and directs staff in completing salary calculations, new employee in processing, creating and auditing HRIS input documents.
| Job Duties: |
- Oversees the daily operations of the institutional HR offices
- Supervises staff to ensure work product is completed on time, accurately and in compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and policy and procedures
- Approves salary action with Additional Pay Notifications (APNs) at the institutions to ensure action taken is in compliance with ADOA Personnel Rules and Department Policies
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Central Office and assist with developing institutional human resources practices and procedures
- Participates in the establishment and implementation of statewide Human Resource Liaison proficiencies, training, audits and technical manuals by conducting detailed research to include collaborating with other SMEs
- Mentors subordinate supervisors to successfully fulfill their roles
- Evaluates work performance of subordinate staff taking corrective action as necessary
- Approves leave and coordinates staffing/office coverage when necessary
- Assists with creating and implementing HR Operations standard work and routinely reviews and updates SOPs and templates that are currently utilized
- Performs routine site visits at institution HR offices to ensure effective operations and perform audits as needed
- Attends a variety of meetings with Central Office HR
- Engages in regular 1:1 meetings with subordinate staff
- Travels on State Business

Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
