Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining software applications at the Arizona Department of State. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of multiple applications including issue resolution and defects.
This role will analyze, debug and resolves defects in applications. This role supports production systems and resolves production issues in a timely manager and resolves end user service requests as assigned. This role will engage with business users and other internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and contributes to the completion of documentation like technical documentation and functional specifications. This role will be responsible for new development to meet functional and technical design following SDLC best practices. This role will be responsible for improving existing code and contributing to the architectural design discussions.

Job Duties:

• Develops new applications to meet functional and technical designs
• Analyzes, debugs, and resolves defects in applications
• Supports production systems; analyzes and resolves production problems in a timely manner; resolves end user service requests as assigned
• Engages with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements, and contributes to completion of functional specifications
• Prepares technical documentation on application specifications Performance tunes, reviews and recommends improvements to existing codes. Reviews and recommends improvements to existing architectures

Knowledge:
Considerable working knowledge of multiple programming languages including.NET, multiple database management systems, and multiple development platforms.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree plus 5 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience)

Retirement:

To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will contribute to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution.
