Job Summary:

If you are passionate about local food systems, sustainability, and creative communications, this role offers the chance to build a significant professional portfolio while supporting Arizona’s farming community. You will bridge the gap between complex agricultural data and public-facing storytelling.

 

Job Duties:

Key Responsibilities
Multimedia Content Creation: Design engaging graphics, social media content, and digital assets that highlight Arizona’s specialty crops.

Storytelling & Communications: Research and write compelling stories about local producers and food system initiatives for the Specialty Crop Guide.

Food Systems Support: Apply technical knowledge of sustainability and food supply chains to ensure all outreach is accurate and impactful.

Grant Compliance: Assist in the development of materials required to fulfill USDA AMS grant milestones.

Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the reach and engagement of communication efforts to help refine our marketing strategy.

Stakeholder Engagement: Help translate feedback from statewide stakeholder meetings into actionable communication materials.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Educational Background: Current student or recent graduate in Agriculture, Food Systems, Sustainability, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Creative Toolkit: Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and social media platforms.

Strong Communicator: Ability to write clearly for a variety of audiences, from farmers to everyday consumers.

Self-Starter: Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines associated with grant requirements.

Passionate: A genuine interest in Arizona agriculture and sustainable food systems.
