| Job Summary: |
Reporting to the Applications Deputy Assistant Director, the Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for managing the front-end platform architecture within the organization, including integration and continuous deployment, implementing best practices for system optimization and system security, setting standards for monitoring application behavior in the real world, troubleshooting system failures, and preventing recurrence.
Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage and direct subordinate staff (work assignments, setting priorities, hiring, discipline, providing training, approving leave requests, and preparing evaluations).
• Develop and organize cloud systems, with a focus on enabling machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities, and will regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
• Analyze, manage, and monitor cloud-based services and applications to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and security. Troubleshoot system failure and prevent recurrence.
• Implement security best practices, such as identity management, encryption, and firewalls, to protect cloud resources.
• Perform cloud capacity planning. Develop cloud policies and define governance frameworks for the operation and management of cloud services.

| Qualifications: |
Minimum:
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Solutions including Architecture, developing and deploying Applications and Platforms to the Public Cloud.
Preferred:
• Current certification in one of the following Public Cloud Architectures: - AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect- Azure Solutions Architect. Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends. Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners. Effective Presentation skills, present to IT managers and C-level execs.
