The Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility (DBME) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Master Scheduler. The Master Scheduler is responsible for beginning level professional work assisting in the management of the Department's staff training and employee development program. This individual will perform training related administrative support for the entire DBME program and its partners including, but not limited to: tasks associated with training registration for employees and contractors as well as recording, managing, and storing training data within an automated learning management system.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides administrative support for all DBME training, including registering attendees, scheduling classes, trainers and training rooms, maintaining training data across multiple programs and applications.
  • Disseminates training notifications to participants. Tracks and updates training records, and instructor status.
  • Organizes and maintains storage, assembly of training and vendor materials as requested and in compliance with the Department and Division standards, practices and protocols.
  • Provides customer assistance and telephone coverage, answering and directing calls, troubleshooting issues.

Knowledge in:

  • Common software applications.
  • Administration and management practices.
  • Organization and tracking systems.

  • Plan, organize and coordinate training programs (time management skills).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service principles.

Ability to:

  • Ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment.
  • Ability to adjust priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.
Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Two years of responsible administrative experience

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
