Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing Carl Perkins Federal and State Priority Grants for assigned eligible recipients including assisting with training, grant application development, processing, review and monitoring to ensure compliance.
Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.

The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for providing services to grant recipients in the planning, development, organization, implementation and evaluation of Career and Technical Education programs (including supplemental services for Special Populations participating in CTE)
• Independently provides Local Educational Agencies technical assistance/training/leadership to develop new or modify existing CTE programs to meet the requirements of the Carl Perkins V Act
• Completes monitoring, reporting and evaluation of assigned entities and their Career and Technical Education programs
• Develop and facilitate internal and external training related to grant development / management as directed by supervisor
• Implements established laws, rules, regulations and provides leadership regarding Carl Perkins legislation and CTE State Priority funding
• Will support Perkins accountability by ensuring sub-recipients complete required elements in the CTE Data portal

• A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education, Public Administration, or equivalent experience to substitute for the degree, is required.

Retirement:

You will be required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) upon your 27th week of employment, subject to waiting period. On or shortly after, your first day of employment you will be provided with enrollment instructions and effective date.
