Job Summary:

The Director is a full-time, 12-month position. Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Director is responsible for ushering in comprehensive virtual and on-site instructional support, providing training and supervision of tutoring staff, and overseeing daily operations of the tutorial services. The director will evaluate tutoring and other instructional support programming that is provided to students and faculty and monitor student outcomes to implement individual interventions to improve student success. This position will work collaboratively with faculty, program directors, associate deans, and deans to provide services and instructional support aimed at increasing retention and completion rates.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience

Significant experience in a tutoring or academic support service area

Large scale budget or grant budget experience

Demonstrated increased administrative roles

Demonstrated experience in teaching or working in a higher education tutoring center

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Two (2) years’ experience providing direct professional tutoring services or developing and implementing instructional support related programming in an educational setting.

Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience supervising faculty and/or instructional program staff in a variety of academic and program areas.

Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of instructional techniques and tutorial methods, including web-based learning resources.
