Duties and Responsibilities: 

Budget Management & Financial Strategy
• Prepare and submit the College’s operating and capital outlay budgets to LCTCS (Louisiana Community and Technical College System).
• Develop, implement, and monitor institutional budgets in conjunction with Executive Leadership and the College’s Deans, Directors, and Department Heads.
• Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team related to financial planning and performance.
• Oversee the College’s treasury operations to ensure adequate cash flow and maximize investments.

Financial Reporting & Compliance
• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of accurate financial reports, including the Annual Financial Report (AFR).
• Develop and implement procedures related to changes in GASB reporting requirements and State or Federal guidelines impacting Higher Education.
• Consult with internal, legislative, federal, and independent auditors when necessary and serve as the primary coordinator for the College’s financial audits.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards by monitoring internal control systems and updating procedures as needed.

Professional Development
• Maintains current professional and technical knowledge through workshops, conferences, and meetings.

Other
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Chancellor.

Required Education: 

Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in business or related field, or a CPA certificate, and five years of progressively responsible experience in a senior-level position. Experience with Ellucian Banner and higher education preferred.
