The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical designSolidWorks CAD, and project management. This role will support ongoing product development initiatives, contribute to design optimization, and lead cross-functional engineering projects from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design using SolidWorks CAD, including 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
  • Develop and optimize mechanical components and systems for performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
  • Partner with electrical, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Own project plans, schedules, and deliverables; coordinate resources to execute programs on time.
  • Design and integrate end effectors and tooling for automated and semi-automated systems, including tolerance stack-up and serviceability considerations.
  • Develop automated mechanical interfaces (locating, clamping, docking, quick-change, and alignment features) to enable repeatable, high-throughput operation.
  • Conduct design reviews, tolerance analyses, and FEA simulations as needed.
  • Plan and execute prototype builds and DOE testing to validate designs and develop BKMs (Best Known Methods) for robust performance.
  • Develop and mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing; help grow team capability and engineering best practices.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation; ensure compliance with applicable standards and internal procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), test planning, and data analysis to drive design decisions and establish repeatable BKMs.
  • Knowledge of simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS).
  • PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects
