Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend and lead all required class sessions Promptly assess student coursework and submit via Brightspace (the university’s learning management system) Coordinate with Division Chair and/or Academic Dean regarding classroom or student issues in a timely manner 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

• Master’s degree in music, emphasis in area of instruction preferred

Experience

• Proven record of success in performance, composition, or other assigned area of instruction
• Record of success in teaching strongly preferred

Required Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills, organization skills to facilitate management of student work
• Ability to communicate with and teach students at all levels of musicianship
