Job Title: Technician

Base Location: Newquay

Salary: Up to £38,978 depending on skills and experience, additional call out payments and standby allowance  plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing. 

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday – Friday 8am-4pm. [37 hrs] Overtime there for those who want it

Enerveo  has an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and Ireland and through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all.

Enerveo in Cornwall specialises in streetlighting and highway electrical infrastructure including streetlighting, traffic signals , CCTV , highway pumps and information signs

Could you be our next Technician or Electrician to join the team and drive this success forwards?

What will I be doing in this role? 

We’re looking for a skilled CCTV Technician to join our team. Ideally, you’ll have experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of CCTV systems, but we’re also open to qualified electricians who are keen to broaden their skills and work on a variety of highway electrical equipment. Salary will be aligned to your experience.

What a typical day could look like:

• Installing and maintaining CCTV systems across our network

• Attending to highway and landfill pump faults

• Testing, maintaining, and replacing equipment to prevent future issues

• Delivering excellent service to our clients and the public

• Safely operating a mobile elevated working platform

• Working in line with strict safety standards and regulations

What do I need to be successful in the role?

• You will have an electrical background with relevant qualifications to support this
• It would be a benefit if you have a good knowledge of the 18th Edition  
• We work in all weathers! So you need to be the type of person who is happy working outdoors all year round.
• A lot of this role will be working at height, so you need to be comfortable with working from a ladder or in a MEWP .
• We do need you to have a full UK Driving Licence as we cover a wide range of locations

Some of our ‘nice to haves’ are;

• IPAF/PASMA working at heights training
• CCTV design, installation and maintenance skills and qualifications
• Working on the Highway training and qualifications
• Health and Safety training certification

We can however support the right candidate to achieve any level of industry training/qualifications they may not have in the ‘nice to have’ list
