The Opportunity
This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving strategic relationships and partnerships to influence large-scale emissions reductions. You'll lead strategic engagement with senior stakeholders and business development, and provide critical policy context. Collaborate with executive leadership to maximise Climateworks' impact, oversee a dedicated team, and represent the organisation at key forums. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and Manage Country Team: Enhance understanding of the political economy, policy landscape, and system intervention points to guide program development and ensure effective program delivery for driving system change
- Strategic Partnerships and Program Development: Build and manage high-level relationships with key decision makers and influencers, secure program funding, and guide business/program development to maximise impact on emissions reduction
- Representation and Leadership: Represent Climateworks at country-level forums and in the media, provide local leadership for international offices, and visibly demonstrate and cultivate Climateworks' leadership values and behaviours

About Climateworks Centre:
Climateworks Centre is an expert, independent adviser, acting as a bridge between research and action to accelerate the transition to net zero emissions for Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific. It was co-founded in 2009 by The Myer Foundation and Monash University and works within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute.
