The Opportunity
Join Monash University Indonesia as a Communications Adviser and play a pivotal role in shaping how we connect with students, staff and external stakeholders. This position is responsible for developing and delivering strategic and operational communications that enhance the student experience, showcase the achievements and priorities of the University, and support engagement across the student lifecycle. Working within the Operations team and in close partnership with University portfolios, you will help ensure communications are timely, engaging, accessible and aligned with Monash’s values and strategic objectives.
This position will be responsible for leading communications that support undergraduate and postgraduate student engagement, from onboarding through to key academic and administrative milestones. It will develop and implement communication strategies and plans, create compelling content across channels including email, social media, newsletters and digital platforms, and oversee high-volume student communications that contribute to student success. The role will also support the PVC Indonesia in promoting campus priorities and achievements, maintain an annual communications calendar informed by insights and engagement data, coordinate communications activity through project management systems, and provide expert advice on communication strategy, content and channel delivery. Building strong partnerships across Monash University Indonesia, University portfolios and key stakeholders will be central to ensuring a seamless and positive communications experience.
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in strategic communications, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and professional expertise. You will demonstrate a strong track record in delivering complex communications campaigns that engage audiences and achieve measurable outcomes, alongside exceptional planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills. Your ability to analyse data, generate insights and continuously improve communications effectiveness will be complemented by excellent content creation capabilities across digital platforms. Advanced proficiency with email marketing and content management systems, a passion for innovation, and strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Indonesian will be essential.
