As our highly valued Cook with our Middlemount team, you’ll create nourishing meals that fuel the bodies and minds of the children in our care. And with the close support of our Kitchen Operations Supervisor, you will ensure all our little learner’s dietary requirements are well supported.

• Cook
• 5 hours daily Monday to Friday- Consistent daytime hours
• Permanent Part Time position

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing daily menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences
• Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
• Managing inventory and ordering supplies efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Collaborating with the centre's team to promote healthy eating habits

What you’ll bring

If you’re committed to guiding children’s early learning and development, we’ll set you up for success!

We strongly uphold our child safety policies and procedures. To thrive and succeed in this role, you will have:

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or related discipline) and Quality Food Supervisor Certificate is ideal, but we are happy to consider unqualified applicants with experience.

• Proven experience in a commercial kitchen or childcare setting
• Knowledge of child nutrition and age-appropriate meal preparation
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• A genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their well-being
• Valid Blue Card and current Police Check.
