About the role:

We are currently seeking a Sales Manager to manage our Modernisation Sales Team based in our Sydney Alexandria office.

The key accountabilities include managing our experienced sales team, overseeing the tender process, and presenting solutions to our customers. You will be responsible for shaping the modernisation sales strategy and tasked with growing the sales  

The successful candidate will be a switched-on individual who has previous sales experience and a proven track record of managing high-performing sales teams within the lift or building/construction industries.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Negotiate and agree on annual targets with the National Sales Manager and Regional Manager
  • Identify market prices and trends and advise the sales force and National Sales accordingly.
  • Manage the relationship with key customers.
  • Work cohesively with MOD Manager to ensure effective manpower planning
  • Ensure that unfavourable contract terms are not agreed
  • Assist in the negotiation of contract terms
  • Manage the sales team through regular coaching, development and objectives
  • Execute SJF employee reviews and implement actions through operational Managers to close identified gaps.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong technical background with the ability to interpret drawings & other technical data
  • Degree or Diploma qualification in an appropriate technical or business-related discipline
  • Experience leading and mentoring sales consultants 
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Outstanding communication skills and customer service etiquette
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • A current driver's license
