About the role:
Due to a promotion, we have a rare opportunity opened up for an Engineering manager to manage our Modernisation Solutions Centre in our Head Office based in Alexandra, Sydney. The role will report directly to our NI & MOD Sales Director.
Our modernisation engineers are a key contributor to the project success of any lift upgrade or fit out, and this role is responsible for overseeing our engineering team to provide support and guidance to our engineers, ensuring they are providing exceptional engineering solutions that fits customer requirements that are executable from a product compliance and efficiency perspective.

Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for managing key major projects, so it is very much a hands-on management position.
- Build and develop the Modernisation Solutions Centre team to deliver optimum outcomes
- Ensure that the correct modernisation solution has been sourced for customer requirements
- Ensure accurate designs are being produced and are compliant to QA procedures, codes and regulations
- Management of necessary inventory and supply chain for product designs
- Drive and promote safe behaviour and culture
What we are looking for:
- Experience in a similar engineering management role.
- Ideally be degree qualified in an appropriate technical or business-related discipline or from a strong lift industry background.
- Previous people management experience, particularly managing a team of engineers
- Demonstrated experience in achieving set goals and targets
- Proven engineering design and documentation skills, with experience using AutoCAD, 3D Modelling, Advanced Excel and Programming skills ideal
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with demonstrated skills in customer management
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, environment and customer relationships
