What is the role?

We are currently seeking a Sales Manager – New Installations based in our Brisbane office. Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing our New Installations sales team while driving growth across the construction market.

This is a highly strategic leadership role where you will coach and mentor a team of Technical Sales Consultants, identify emerging market opportunities and build strong relationships with developers, builders, consultants and key industry stakeholders. With significant investment planned across infrastructure, commercial and residential developments, including projects associated with the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this role will play a critical part in shaping Schindler’s future growth across Queensland.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Developing and executing the New Installations sales strategy to achieve business targets.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing sales team.
  • Identifying upcoming construction opportunities and market trends.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key customers, developers, builders and consultants.
  • Driving sales pipeline performance, forecasting and business growth.
  • Supporting key contract negotiations and delivering strong commercial outcomes.
  • Maintaining operational discipline through accurate forecasting, CRM management, quotation governance and cross-functional collaboration.

The successful candidate will be a commercially astute people leader with a proven track record of growing market share and leading successful sales teams within the lift, construction, building services or related industries.

You will also bring:

  • Degree or Diploma qualification in Business, Engineering, Building, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' sales experience within the lift industry or a related construction or building services environment.
  • Proven sales leadership experience with a strong track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across developers, builders, consultants and key accounts.
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing pricing, margins, contracts and profitability.
  • Strong sales pipeline, forecasting and opportunity management capability.
  • Sound technical understanding of lift solutions, specifications and customer requirements.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, quotation tools, Excel and sales reporting platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Engineering, Finance and Procurement to ensure customer commitments can be successfully delivered.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current driver's licence.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience within the lift, construction or building services industries.
  • Consultative selling and strategic account management experience.
  • Knowledge of NCC, accessibility requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Experience using data and analytics to improve sales performance and conversion rates.
  • Process improvement, change management and digital transformation experience.
  • Established networks across developers, builders, consultants and industry stakeholders.
  • Experience leveraging digital tools, automation and modern sales technologies.
