Job Description:
The Financial Wellness Counselor will collaborate with a team of internal and community partners to provide financial education through outreach, programs and one to one counseling to ensure our students and their families can stay on the right financial path to achieve their academic goals.
This position will create content and programming that will educate current and future students/parents about the costs of college, scholarships, aid, and proper planning that will better prepare students for their academic journey and financial future. This additional attention will lead to improved student success and satisfaction.
The Financial Wellness Counselor will assist with training the Peer Financial Wellness Counselors, Assist Director, and Sr. Financial Wellness Counselor with grant applications and donor opportunities to support the overall growth of the Financial Wellness Office.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in an educational setting (higher ed, k-12) preferred.
Minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisor role
Communication and Other skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Excellent organizational skills are required.
• Exceptional computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office are required.
• Excellent problem solving are required.
• Must have the ability to, as well as meet the requirements to complete and maintain.
