Job Description:

The Department of Neurology at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Neurologist to join our expanding team. This faculty position will provide both inpatient and outpatient neurological care to pediatric patients, while also participating in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

The Department of Neurology serves the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan communities, offering comprehensive neurological services across a wide range of subspecialties. Pediatric Neurologist will provide services primarily at The Toledo Hospital and the Neurosciences Center. The Department actively participates in medical education through a required 4-week clerkship for medical students, a thriving Neurology residency program, and several fellowship programs. The department is also engaged in clinical research and encourages faculty to participate based on their interests and expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides inpatient and outpatient care in Pediatric Neurology; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows in both Neurology and Pediatrics.
  • Participates in clinical conferences, academic teaching, and contributes to scholarly activity and/or research.
  • Complies with departmental policies and procedures, quality improvement initiatives, and federal and state healthcare regulations including HIPAA.
  • Participates in mentoring and faculty development within the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree with successful completion of a Neurology residency and Pediatric Neurology fellowship training.
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology.
  • Must meet institutional requirements for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, commensurate with experience.
