Job Description:
This role works under the direct supervision of the Director, Recreational Services and is a core member of the department’s administrative leadership team, assisting in a multitude of administrative, operative, and programmatic functions. The primary function of this position is to provide leadership and direction in the area(s) of member services, reservation/event management and in daily functions of the operations of the facilities managed by the department, which includes the Student Recreation Center, Morse Fitness Center, Carter Field, Pickleball Courts and Health Education Center.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Required (master’s degree Preferred) in Recreation Administration, Physical Education, Sports Administration or Related Field.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Recreational Center/Sports Facilities Management or Relevant Experience.
• Some leadership experience in supervising employees is required.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent technology skills, preferably with experience in Innosoft Fusion, InvoNet, and Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a very diverse college environment.
• Active American Red Cross Basic Life Support & First Aid Certification (must be willing to obtain within 60 days of employment).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Two (2) years of prior leadership experience in supervising employees is preferred.
