Job Description:

Performs administration and advice on leave requests related to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), along with other university, state, and local leave policies. Collaborates with other connected processes such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Workers’ Compensation, Performs administrative functions, conducts research, and provides exemplary customer service. Supports employee wellness and retirement administration.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field OR five (5) years relevant experience in lieu of higher education required.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in HR preferably at the exempt level.
Must have very strong organizational skills to maintain records and data and meet deadlines.
Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Must have a strong desire and willingness to pursue excellence in customer service and demonstrate passion in creating an outstanding customer experience.
Must be technically proficient with Microsoft Office with ability to create complex reports using Excel (modeling scenarios, complex formulas, pivot tables, v-lookup, data validation etc.)
Knowledge of HR programs and services with functional knowledge of 2 areas in HR preferably.
Experience in gathering and organizing data and generating reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

Human Resource experience in both public and private.
Compensation experience in an academic or hospital environment.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification
