Job Description:
The Assistant Professor position will primarily support the department’s Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program and Graduate Certificate program in nonprofit management. In addition to American Government and undergraduate political science courses, the faculty will teach a variety of nonprofit and the required MPA courses in public budgeting, finance and research methods. Additional duties include: advising students; scholarly activities; establishing and maintaining research within the discipline; applying for externally-funded grants and making the results of the research public in recognized scholarly journals; service on college, university and professional committees; community service including making meaningful connections with schools, educational institutions and community organizations; working with the community in establishing relationships to grow and strengthen the MPA program, and attendance at and participation in college and university events.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Public Policy or a closely related field
• 6 months of experience in teaching budgeting and nonprofit classes is required.
