Job Description:

The John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Organizational Behavior/ Human Resource Management at the Assistant/Associate Professor level beginning Fall 2026.

The individual hired for this position will have responsibilities in teaching, research, and service. The teaching focus for this new colleague will be undergraduate and MBA courses in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management and leadership. A secondary teaching area in Entrepreneurship, and other areas of Management is preferred. The teaching load may include face-to-face, dual modality, hybrid and/or Online deliveries.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, engagement in scholarly academic intellectual activities is required. The opportunity for collaborative research exists within the college and with other colleges of the university. The individual will also be responsible for mentoring undergraduate students and working with student organizations. They will contribute to assessment of student learning outcomes and engage in service activities with colleagues, the department, college, campus, community and professional organizations.

Accredited by AACSB International, the Neff College serves approximately 2,000 graduate and undergraduate students. The Management department offers three concentrations including General Management, Human Resource Management, and Entrepreneurship; collaborates closely with Marketing and Sales; and significantly contributes to the MBA program. Regional outreach is accomplished through activities of the Family Business Center and the Schmidt School of Professional Sales.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. and/or related terminal degree required. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution in OB/HR or related discipline. A.B.D.'s with a clear plan for completion by August, 2026 are also encouraged to apply.

We welcome a variety of research interests that are not limited to, but complement and grow, the current research strengths within the Department and include the possibility of funded research. A candidate with a completed Ph.D. must have a consistent record of publication in quality, peer-reviewed journals. A strong track record of quality teaching is preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students.

Must be motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.

Applicants must have abilities, skills and enthusiasm consistent with teaching excellence and instructional innovation.
