Job Description:
Leadership position with primary responsibility in the areas of career advising and professional development for medical students. Oversees all events, activities related to career advising and professional development as well as the operational processes within the Office of Student Affairs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•Demonstrated understanding of the medical school curriculum and LCME requirements.
•Experience with Electronic Residency Application Service system/software and UT Medical Education Portal preferred.
•Experience handling highly confidential student information required.
•Experience speaking/presenting to students, faculty, and administration as well as to outside constituents.
•Previous event planning experience required.
Education/experience/licensing
• Master’s degree required in a related field (medical or education) required.
• At least 5 years of recent experience in an academic office is required, preferably in medical education.
• Experience with Blackboard and distance learning tools and development of workshops.
• Supervisory experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1.Must be flexible and able to manage multiple high-priority demands
2.Must possess excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
3.Able to handle stressful situations involving students in a professional manner
4.Willingness to work flexible hours
5.Serve as a conduit to the public and community about the program
