Job Description:

The Clerkship & Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities, implementing, as well as monitoring medical student clerkship & curriculum activities for the Department of Medicine in accordance with LCME policies and procedures. In addition, this position involves analysis, documentation, planning and coordination of activities related to current policies and practices of the institution’s clerkship programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform efficiently and in a professional manner under demanding situations.
• Organizational expertise, attention to detail and deadlines are essential.
• Experience in medical academic position necessary. Knowledge of clerkship, residency programs and/or GME expectations required.
• Experience with computers & programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and presenting material to a professional audience.
• Demonstrated successful and positive interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience with program development & implementation.
• Requires willingness to travel on a limited basis.
• Effectively responds to students, staff, faculty, residents and fellow needs & requests.
• Adheres to UTMC’s iCare program.
• Understands the concepts of the Mission of UTMC and applies the concepts to daily interactions.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities & uses the findings to improve customer service.
• Serve as an ambassador of UTMC in the community, demonstrating our organization’s values, services and mission.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent through work related experience preferred.
