As an art preparator, you will collaborate with curators and other staff to oversee and execute exhibitions, including developing exhibition designs and layouts. You will manage the transportation, handling, and storage of artwork, as well as the safe setup of fashion exhibits, paintings, sculptures, and more. You will help build necessary display props, structures, frames, plinths, and platforms for exhibitions. Additionally, you will operate electronic lifts, scaffolding, ladders, and tools to install works, ensuring that complex, delicate setups are completed accurately and carefully. You will also make sure lighting and environmental conditions are suitable for displays.
